Kevin Carr kc108@hw.ac.uk Kevin, whose Ph.D. studentship is funded by the EPSRC, is researching ambiphilic metal ligand assisted C-H activation in collaboration with the Davies group in Leicester. The research primarily involves mechanistic understanding with the aim to exploit the process in the formation of heterocycles via intramolecular functionalisation. Kevin graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 2012 after completing his MChem project with Stuart Macgregor, this involved an investigation into catalytic aryl-CF3 bond formation at Pd centres in collaboration with Vladamir Grushin. Outside of research Kevin is a member of the Heriot-Watt University fencing team. | ||
